Location: Pengerang, Malaysia

This tower is part of the Petronas Rapid Project in Pengerang. The tower has a diameter of 7.65m and is 65m high.  Our customer, Toyo Engineering, are undertaking Package 5 and needed an engineered solution to overcome multiple obstructions to allow access for insulation works.

Requirements

Provide working platform for every 2m interval of total 65m in height for insulation projects.

Customer's benefit

  • PERI UP was selected due to the inherent safety of the product and lightweight of materials.  The engineered solution enabled fast and safe erection times.
  • Weatherproof encapsulation was supplied consisting of a Monarflex sheeted temporary roof erected using aluminium beams.  The elevations were also clad in Monarflex sheeting.
  • 3D modelling helped to expedite the material planning and demonstrate the design.
