Best digital service for customers

The new component libraries have significantly expanded the existing cooperation between Trimble Software Tekla and PERI GmbH, which has been in place since 2016. In keeping with providing the best possible solution for customers, Tekla users can also integrate PERI systems into their solution while using their usual software.
All components contained in the data package feature the appropriate metadata and allow BIM-related re-use in the construction process. This provides PERI customers with the necessary transparency in order that their components are used in the most effective way possible.

PERI component libraries in Tekla Structures significantly expanded

The digital world of today means changes on a daily basis. Under the motto “The best possible solution for our customers”, the Weissenhorn-based company has now made the most important PERI wall, slab and column shuttering systems available in the Tekla Warehouse. As a result, this has significantly expanded the cooperation that has existed since 2016 and will allow planners in particular to benefit in future from the advantages of Building Information Modelling without sacrificing the convenience of their familiar software environment.

As early as 2016, the first PERI formwork systems were featured in the Tekla Warehouse from Trimble. In so doing, the company met with a large and positive response. In 2017, the plug-in for Autodesk REVIT followed – the Library for REVIT. In the past few months, PERI has been investing a lot of time and effort at its Weissenhorn headquarters in other component libraries in order that the Tekla Warehouse continues to be filled with PERI systems.

Now, users of Tekla Structures BIM software have easy access to a wide range of PERI wall, slab and column formwork systems directly in the library of their usual software. The corresponding links can also be found on the PERI website.

Customer-oriented solution

Numerous, direct discussions with customers highlighted the clear desire for planning to be realised in the usual BIM-capable software environment. PERI has fully complied with this request and has provided planners with a consistent solution ensuring that libraries are available which can be applied without requiring any additional training. Users benefit directly from the benefits through the digital planning and management of formwork operations – with a wider range of PERI systems than ever before.

About BIM

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a software-based method for planning and implementing construction projects on the basis a 3D building or building model.
